My 7th grade students who are behind often struggle with reading in class because the content can be boring. Magazine subscriptions show students that reading can be fun by providing high interest articles and stories, as well as other curriculum I have found on Teachers Pay Teachers! These magazine subscriptions come with more resources that can be accessed online which will help me check understanding as well as really help my students engage with reading, raise reading levels, and prepare them for better understanding! I will use the Teacher Pay Teachers gift card to purchase Common Core Curriculum to further engage my students.
