I've been teaching second grade for over 10 years. I absolutely love my job and my students, and I always expect the best from each and every one of them. My class size increased again this year, as did their varying levels of abilities. My students include not only gifted and talented students, but special education students, and everyone in between. It's a challenge to find materials that not only excite my students, but are adaptable to various reading comprehension levels. Not only do they come from various socioeconomical levels, but they also come from different countries, and I often have second language students as well who have almost no exposure to the English language.
