My classroom is a community of loving, respectful, and passionate children that are eager to learn. My students live in a very low socioeconomic neighborhood and are from diverse cultural backgrounds. Many have English as their second language. A large number of the parents work long hours and their children may not have a lot of support at home. With this, most of my students come to school with many challenges. My goal is goal is for my students to have the best learning opportunities available. My classroom is a place where my students feel safe and are inspired to learn. In order for my students to have what they need in order to achieve their personal best, I spend a lot of my own money for materials and snacks. I want to make certain that my students have everything that they need in order to achieve their full potential. My hope is that their enthusiasm for learning continues through their lives.
