Students will learn the basic elements of art. They will create works of art to be displayed in the classroom and hallways. My school no longer offers an art class taught by a licensed art teacher. Funding for art supplies is not budgeted for teachers, therefore, students miss out on exposure to basic art principals. As an elementary teacher, I do my best to not just make crafts with students and teach them about the basic elements of art. This proves difficult without a supply budget. Art can enrich all subjects therefore, it is essential to tie art to all subjects.
