My students are in a self contained classroom for students with special needs. They are in a district outside of general education setting due to the severity of their disability. Funding through the school does not allow for these type of items; although their necessity is key in order to create an environment where students are given the resources to feel safe, comfortable, confident and valued. By providing them with this type of support we are able to provide them with an equal opportunity to learn and develop into active members in thier community.
