The students are from a major urban city. 80% of our population are bused from a housing project and despite their circumstances at home, I can honestly say that they want to learn! I teach two 8th grade classes Math and one 7th grade Math as well. Our school is a public school and has recently lost funding due to budget cuts from the state. As I stated earlier, my students love to learn and always try to do their best. There are some children who read below level and have difficulty with comprehension. The children deserve a classroom environment filled with the tools to help all types of learners succeed! Please take a look at our needs and help if you can! Many of these children don't have the school supplies needed to be successful and teachers are doing our best to supply them with some.
