My students range in age from 5-8. They are sweet kids that do not have the resources at home to access e-books. We are in a low income neighborhood and many of them are the youngest of 4 or more kids in the home. These students attend a Special Education Class all day and have much difficulty learning letters, letter sounds, and sight words. The lack of reading skills holds them back from reading great books independently and feeling more their own age.
