Take Home Book Bags for our school will help our students bring literacy home. Our teachers have worked hard to gather high-interest books at all levels for students to love. Our next step is to extend student reading at home with a school wide system. Our neighborhood library has been closed since Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Families have struggled to gain access to books to read at home. By allowing students to bring books home, we hope to bring literacy to everyone in the family including parents, guardians, grandparents and especially younger siblings.
