My students are hard-working and deserve to play hard too. They read thousands of minutes each year in their read-a-thon and thrive in arts and music programs. The school's new addition included a gymnasium when before they were taught in a converted lunchroom space. Their hard-working PTA has begun an after school program that includes clubs and clinics that teachers want to advise. Table tennis is just one of the athletic offerings in this dynamic program. It will fit in the small spaces of my urban school, but will loom large in their hearts as they learn this Olympic sports.
