I work for Utah Virtual Academy, an online school serving students across the entire state of Utah. Many of my students live in rural areas, far from quality education, travel excessively, or suffer from mental or physical illnesses preventing them from attending brick and mortar schools. We have a very high population of low-income students and at-risk students. Since students attend classes from their homes, it makes it even more important to make personal connections with students, which is difficult from the other side of a computer screen!

About my class
