I teach an at-risk 3 year old class. 100% of my students fall below the poverty line, and face additional challenges including but not limited to ELL, parental incarceration, history of abuse or neglect, and refugee status. Many of them have extremely challenging home lives, and school is a real comfort to them, because it provides, safety, security, structure and love. In spite of all they face, they are still lovely, adorable, hilarious three-year-olds, who soak up every new experience and live life to the absolute fullest. They make me laugh every day.

About my class
