My students are eager, excited, and love reading. Listening to reading is one of the best ways to increase vocabulary - especially for ESL students. I teach in a part of town where my students are incredibly diverse and range from many languages. Every year I meet 40-44 second graders who are excited and curious about the world around them. They are also growing readers who need to practice the craft of reading as often as possible. My students are excited and motivated to read and listen to new books in my class; for most of them it is the only opportunity they have to read.
