In an area surrounded by poverty and low-income housing, my students struggle every day with getting basic needs, as well as beating statistics. Let me tell you a little bit more about them! Smart and motivated students in special education need access to technology to unleash and practice their abilities. iPad and the Apple store offer many educational apps that work on phonological awareness, math skills and reading skills. Students with special needs learn through differentiation and the use of manipulatives. There is no doubt in my mind that the use of an iPad will motivate my students and increase their learning abilities.
