Our class motto is, "Knowledge is your most valuable possession that no one can ever take from you." My students live by that motto and work towards making themselves rich with knowledge daily. My students are diverse and face challenges. Many are below grade level in reading. Our goal is to achieve a year and a half of reading growth in a year to put them in the position to be competitive with students who may not face the same types of challenges. If you met them, you would not immediately know the issues they face because they are so positive and motivated in spite of it all. I couldn't be more proud to be their teacher and feel honored to support their academic success.
