My students are amazing! They are true over-comers with a passion for learning and community. Our school is in a low-income neighborhood with mostly single-parent households. On so many levels life has told these kids "No". One of the main lessons in my classroom is teaching them to think "Yes!" Yes we can be strong community. Yes we can have the best of everything. Yes we can set goals and achieve them. Yes we can go to college even if there is no money! They always rise to the challenge and leave believing they can do it!
