I teach in a school in which a majority of students live in households of low socioeconomic status. Many of our students are only exposed to the books we have available in our own classrooms and school library. Many have never been out of our city, or even visited a public library. They are loving and kind children with many interests. Unfortunately, many of these students lack the resources at home to foster their many interests in learning. Even Internet access is impossible for many of the student's households to afford. Despite the challenges they face, the students in my school are eager and willing to learn and improve in school!
