My students have learned to love books and reading this school year. Before the the Coronavirus pandemic, my students had many opportunities to read books independently or with a classmate. They were also able to check out books to bring home from our "Classroom Lending Library" on a weekly basis. Since the coronavirus pandemic, some of my students have had opportunities to listen and read stories online. However, none of my students have had the opportunity to hold a book, turn the pages, and engage in a story that is best for young children. My students do not have books at home. These books would create a small library in each of their homes. The children would be able to read books even without the support of an adult. Even if my students are not able to read all the words, they know how to read stories using the illustrations. In addition, these books will also help create special bonding time with my children and their parents. I know my students would love these books and take good care of them. Please help me continue to support their love of reading and learning and staying connected through books. I will personally deliver each of the sets of books to my students.
