Every reading-ready classroom should provide a quiet and comfortable place for students to read independently or with a partner. With the addition of a carpet, bean bag chairs, and other comfy seating my students can read while their imaginations take them away in relaxation. By donating you are not only helping students of today, but those of the future. Sitting all day can be quite cumbersome for 10 year olds. A body at rest, stays at rest. These transportable seats can be moved during whole group instruction, partner work, or center time to make students feel our classroom is their home away from home. What better way to help than to create a cozy reading nook for a child to settle into? My personal classroom library already consists over 300 different books titles ranging from various reading levels. NOW, all it needs is your support.
