Our school is a kindergarten through 4th grade school. We have roughly 450 students and more than half of them are on free or reduced-price lunch. Our school district has recently begun a STEM initiative and it is going very well. The kids are learning to use critical thinking skills and problem solving to do amazing things. The best part of bringing STEM to our school is to watch students work together collaboratively. Sometimes when they are creating or learning they fail, and that is the best part of STEM, failing so that you can adjust your thinking and come up with a new way of trying.
