My students attend a 4th and 5th grade intermediate school. They have been placed in my program since they have been identified as needing extra help in math. Many of my students have a phobia towards math from prior experiences of just not being able to make sense of it all. Let's face it, one negative experience can change your outlook on math for a very long time!! My classroom provides opportunities for my struggling students to experience math in fun and exciting ways where they can make connections that allow them the opportunity to build math confidence.
