My sixth grade students have developed into hard workers. They come into class each day ready to take on the challenges of sixth grade math. In addition to mastering old concepts and learning new material, my students face challenging home lives. Their evenings can include taking care of themselves and siblings while their parents are working late or working a second job to make ends meet. Most of them don't have down time to read for pleasure after school.

About my class
