Most of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. The school they attend is comprised of mostly minority students. They are really fun and energetic kids, but do not have the resources outside of school to participate in other extracurricular sports activities. Therefore, allowing them to participate in fun, physical activities during the school day is essential for them to be healthy. These students have learned to get by with what they have and never complain about anything. I would like for them to experience the fun that can come with being active both through sports games and general cardio exercises. Additionally, this project will help them to play and work together in teams which is essential for them to become well rounded individuals.
