I have a group of 25 third kindergarteners from a metropolitan area in Michigan. They come from all different backgrounds, but are mainly low-income urban children. Some of them have access to books and technology at home, but most of them do not. My students all love video games, and anything to do with technology. I am hoping that by bringing more technology into our classroom that I can make reading more interactive for them. This will also prepare them for the technological world outside of the classroom.
