When my grant is funded, my students will use the iPads for multiple purposes. Below are some examples of the ways they will be used. The possibilities are many! iPads will allow my struggling readers to access books appropriate for their needs! This year we got a new literature program without physical books for our lowest readers. These books, accessed by the iPads, will play an integral part in allowing my students to access the Utah Core curriculum. These students will also use the iPads to record themselves and keep track of their fluency progress. Our school uses mastery connect to assess student progress. The iPads will be used for students to input their responses to assessments. The data is compiled and analyzed by the program which will allow me to monitor their progress and more easily adapt instruction. I also want the students to use the iPads to do multimedia projects. They can use the iPads to take pictures, make videos and sound bites, do research, and combine these resources together to present what they learned.
