"Education is the kindling of a flame not the filling of a vessel." - Socrates This quote truly describes how I feel about education and my role as a teacher. I believe it is my responsibility to offer my students opportunities and projects that excite them and motivate them in as many ways as possible. My students are just starting their journey in the GATE (gifted and talented education) program as they enter third grade. They are a diverse group of students who are all gifted in different ways. This year, my school is becoming a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) school. My goal is to offer my students numerous opportunities to express their creativity and discover their talents in all areas. Dream big and keep inspiring the future!
