Our students come to school wanting to learn but aren't always prepared to do so. Unfortunately, most don't have the means to fulfill a list of supplies that many other families can. I'd hope they can begin this upcoming school year with the same advantages as other students. Many may take basic supplies such as crayons, pencils and paper for granted, but these materials are often hard to come by in our district. My students need crayons, markers, pencil boxes, and other basic classroom supplies for the start of our next school year. I'm hoping we can provide needed materials to our students and classroom so we can get off to a positive start. I'm sure we all feel every child deserves that.
