Welcome to Mrs. Kawazoe's class! I strive to bring out the potential in each and every one of my students, regardless of their diverse backgrounds and abilities. Differentiated instruction is my goal in teaching. Whether it is one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, or whole group lessons, I aim to target the needs of every student in my class. We are at a large school with nearly 1000 students and over 20 different languages spoken. With a population of children from various parts of the world coming in speaking a second language, technology offers easy access to content instruction online and promote creativity in reading and writing via websites and blog creations. Students in my class are able to demonstrate their individual talents while gaining content knowledge through the daily usage of tablets and Chrome books to conduct research, publish essays, read ebooks, and produce websites and videos.
