Thank you for you interest in learning more about our class. I am glad you stopped by to check us out. Hollis Elementary School is located in rural Hollis, Maine. It is a K-5 school with approximately 365 students. Hollis Elementary is considered to be a high poverty school, with 42% of our population receiving free or reduced lunch. There is no Headstart or locally funded Pre-K program so for many of our incoming kindergartners it is their first exposure to a school environment. This year I have a group of 19 kindergarten students. I love teaching kindergarten, but wish there was more funding to allow for more materials. I appreciate your consideration for funding our project and supporting Donors Choose.org.
