The skill level varies on our team. Some of the girls have been playing basketball for a few years while others are experiencing the joys of playing for the first time. Most of our girls have never experienced playing an organized sport before. They may have played pick-up basketball in a park or in their physical education classes, but were never a part of an organized league. When they become part of a team, it really has a positive impact on their lives. They feel as if they belong to something, regardless of their skill level. They bond with each other and develop as a team in ways they could never imagine. Aside from enjoying playing the sport, they are experiencing the sisterhood of being a teammate.

About my class
