I use Project GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) strategies to teach my students English. At the end of each Project GLAD unit, students participate in a strategy called "Team Tasks." Each team of students creates several end-of-unit Team Tasks. These tasks are done cooperatively and involve research and creative team planning. The projects are displayed on charts which are presented at the end of the week. In order to complete the Team Tasks which help students to learn English more quickly, my students need materials like chart paper, sticky notes, markers, colored pencils, and folders. Completing Team Tasks is invaluable to my students because they are learning academic English through research, oral communication, writing, reading and presenting! They love Team Tasks and are 100% engaged throughout the process.
