My first grade students come from a high poverty urban area. Many of them come to school with limited experience with books because they don't have access to them at home. Our school is a Pre-K-3rd grade priority school. Many of our students come to school below grade level in reading, they need every opportunity available to them in order to be successful. I want to help them become successful readers and lifelong lovers of books!
