My Kindergarten students are from a small, close-knit rural community. The school is the heart of the community. It provides an abundance of opportunities for children both academically and through sports. While our school does provide many educational opportunities for children and parents, there are many students who enter school with no prior experience in an educational setting. Some of these children have had very little exposure to print and have not had the good fortune of having been read to at home.
