I have the privilege of working with a group of enthusiastic students who never stop amazing me with their eagerness and passion to grow and learn. They are superstar second grade students who are excited to dive deeper into books and literature. My students are a diverse group of youngsters, most of whom come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of these sweet students are new to the English language and are transitioning to English language fluency. I am constantly working to close the achievement gap, offering my students opportunities to listen to reading, play educational games and activities, and practice math facts at their own level.
