Imagine this: 30 deserving students, 1 dedicated teacher, 1 crucial school year, numerous needs, different abilities, lots of effort and love. That's my classroom. My students are first graders who love to learn. They crave attention and excitement in their young lives. They live in the inner city and have many learning, emotional, social, and financial needs. They might not have all the needed resources at home or school, but they do have parents and a teacher who want the best for them! In our class they are learning to read and write. They are building their mathematical muscles, exploring science concepts and learning about the world around them. They are constantly growing and becoming the productive and happy individuals we envision them to be!
