My students are first graders that attend a critical geographic school in South Carolina. More than half of the students at the school receive free or reduced lunch, and are at the poverty level. Some are unable to read at grade level, and others are not motivated to read due to limited resources. The students are eager to learn when teachers engage them into the learning process, and make it real and meaningful. They are very grateful for anything they receive. The school, students, and teachers are all members of a team that work together to strive for the best.
