My students are fighters. They attend a low-income, high-mobility school where their opportunities are often limited, but they continue to work relentlessly to succeed. Most of my students are Latino and speak English as their second language. Although they are just as intelligent as their English-speaking peers, they need extra support in order to express their thoughts.
