I am an ESL teacher in the Newcomer class for students who are new to the United States, speak no English, and vary from very little or no formal schooling to formal schooling in their native language. I work with 2nd-5th graders, at all different academic levels, in a self contained classroom that focuses on speaking, reading, and writing in English. It is amazing to see my students grow, develop and learn throughout the year. It is important that I provide positive opportunities that will impact academics as well as developing skills for learning a new language and culture in a safe environment. Your generous donations to my class will help me provide them the materials they need to be successful.

About my class
