Many of the headphones in our school's computer lab are either broken or don't function properly. We often visit the lab and I spend about 20 minutes looking for headphones that actually work or aren't broken. My students need these headphones to use with Raz-Kids, a computer-based program which assesses their listening and reading comprehension. In this program, they are required to first listen to stories then read them independently before taking an online assessment. Students who have particular difficulty can also have the questions and answer choices read to them, so functioning headphones are crucial to their success in the program.
