I have the 4th grade SPED inclusion class. My students currently consist of one student with cerebral palsy, one student with traumatic brain injury, two students with epilepsy, one student who experienced a pre-natal stroke, one autistic student, and four others with dyslexia. I have 21 students total this year. The children support one another regardless of their handicap. My students never mention another student's disability. They even step in and help those students when they are having difficulties with something, whether it be carrying a lunch tray or explaining a math concept. We work together as a family. My co-teachers and I call ourselves their "school mamas". Our goal is to help each and every child achieve his/her personal best. Our school stresses the importance of good behavior and being a good citizen. Together, we can achieve great things.
