Our 27 second graders in our diverse collaborative team teaching (CTT) special education classroom need modern technology. It is not only essential, but makes learning so much fun! With the shift towards making children career and college ready through the common core standards they need access to 21st century technology and skills. iPad2s will help to enhance their learning and keep them competitive with students in other communities. Some of our students have special needs, and their needs can be met with the visual technology of an iPad2. Additionally, all of our students would use the iPad2 to build and reinforce skills that have already been taught. There are hundreds of apps we could use that are aligned with Common Core Standards.
