Many of my students do not get their own materials to use at home. This would allow them to plant their own flowers, learn about their importance to our classroom and our community. The magazines would be their own, and they could better their reading comprehension while learning. My students love math, this will be a great opportunity to bring in reading material that they can relate to and enjoy reading. I love to tie learning from different topics into a subject. This really allows students to understand their learning is connected.
