My students attend a Title I school on the Big Island of Hawaii. It is located in a rural community in which 70% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch and 77% of the students enrolled are minorities. Although we are a school known to struggle academically, I believe our students can excel given the right motivation, skills, knowledge, technology and opportunity.
