The school consists of at least 95% with free and reduced lunch. That is how they eat, not how they live. Despite limited means and surroundings, my students enter class everyday with the desire to work hard, learn, and improve their lives. Respectfulness and diligence are both a way of life and not just words to my students. We assist each other when we stumble and help each other up when we fall. My school helps to provide an excellent model for this behavior. Each teacher enters dedicated and excited to inflict positive growth and change within the surrounding community. We exist, live, and work together. Some days the students of the school may not arrive with the physical materials, but they always arrive with the required emotional and psychological ones.
