I have a diverse group of students. Some students come from other countries and are English Language Learners. The majority of my students come from the high poverty area that surrounds the school. Some students in my class have not had prior school experience and unfortunately do not receive academic support at home. Many of students have witnessed violence in their neighborhoods as well as their homes. Despite the challenges that they may encounter and their various backgrounds, all of my students enjoy coming to school and are always eager to learn. For many of my students, an education is the ticket to a brighter future.
