My students are all from high-poverty homes. Many of them speak English as a second language. It is difficult for them to get their hands on learning materials outside of school. They come to school to eat breakfast and lunch, to receive counseling services, and to get a meaningful education. Sometimes it seems learning takes a backseat to these things. With new and interesting materials, learning can become more engaging and fun.

About my class
