Each morning we begin our day together on our rug. This is where we will have calendar time, reading, math, writing, science and social studies instruction. With this colorful rug, students will have their own individual space for learning but will be close enough for collaboration with others. The colors make it easy for my students to remember their space and work well for dividing students into collaborative groups. A new rug will give each student a clean and colorful space for learning, collaborating and even a little dancing. Students will be more engaged by having their own space. By donating to my project you will improve the overall learning experience for my Kindergarten students for years to come.
