Do you know how hard it is to keep new books in your classroom for beginning readers? It's very hard because they are so excited, they go through all the books. I teach at an elementary school that is funded by Title 1 and Free/reduced lunches. Majority of my students only come to school with necessities. Our state is ranked 48th on state funds and funds per student in the classroom. Therefore, we get the bare minimum money for our classroom supplies. My class is in need of some class and take home readers.
