I have 56 beautifully awesome students who are all struggling readers and writers. They all come from a severely low income, inner-city environment and need all the help they can get at being successful. Most, if not all, of my students have never seen an iPad let alone use one and being able to offer this type of technology in my classroom would only bring a positive experience into their lives. Our school does not have the funds available to offer new technology such as iPads for our classrooms. Exposing my students to this technology can only increase their curiosity to learn new and exciting things in new and exciting ways. Bringing my students into the 21st Century as learners can only help them to grow as readers and writers.
