In my Kindergarten classroom, you will find a variety of places for the children to sit while they learn. They may be at a small group reading table. They may be at a small group math table. They may be at a workstation table. But one of the most important places that my children sit and learn is on a classroom carpet. This is where we have whole group instruction, read alouds, modeling of math lessons, and a time where we just talk and giggle and laugh! With that being said, the carpet that is in my classroom right now is close to 10 years old and no matter how many times it is cleaned and sanitized, it is in dire need of being replaced. I want my students to want to come to the carpet and enjoy their time of learning there. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help my classes now and in the future to have a clean and hygienic area to feel comfortable in!
