I'm fortunate enough to be able to work every day with eager classes of 6th-grade readers and writers in a big diverse middle school north of Chicago. It's so important to expose kids to all kinds of good writing to help them on their paths to becoming writers, themselves. In order to do that, I need to surround them with as many different genres and styles of books that I can. Books are all the different seeds that take root in us, and we try to make our classrooms the rich soil where things grow and bloom for our students. Thank you so much for your participation in our growth. We couldn't do it without you.
